We've Grown: A Re-Introduction to SCY Distribution and What We're Building

If you've visited SCY Distribution before and noticed things look a little different — more categories, more brands, more gear than you remembered — you're not imagining it. We've been busy.

We wanted to take a moment to properly reintroduce ourselves, share where we've grown, and give you a sense of what shopping at SCY looks like today versus where we started.

We Started in the Outdoors — and We've Stayed There

SCY Distribution was built around the outdoor enthusiast.  Our beginnings as a Yacht Brokerage put us in the marine business.  Other business's we operated had us in Fishing, hunting, archery, camping — these were the categories we cut our teeth on, and they remain at the heart of what we carry. If you came to us originally for fishing tackle, hunting accessories, archery gear, or camping equipment, that foundation is still very much here and stronger than ever.

But over time, our customers told us — through their purchases, their questions, and their feedback — that their lives don't fit neatly into a single outdoor category. The same person who wants a quality fly rod on Saturday morning might be looking for a leather duffel for a business trip on Monday, a first aid kit for the family car on Tuesday, and a good folding knife to keep in their pocket every day of the week. We listened.
