New store and content!

   We were closing down.  We shut down our  wholesale distribution business, and had just about sold thru all the merchandise we had left using our SCY Distribution site.  But, after running this business for 19 years, I just hated to close it.   We built our first website, Calsport.com in 1995.  It was a rough website- I think it was just 1 really really long page with about 100-150 items.  Razor scooters were hot then, and Paintball was next, we'd always find something to keep us growing.  We merged that business with another company in 2011, but once the new guys took over it didn't last long.

  The image is the original SCY- that was the initials of Smugglers Cove Yachts, Inc.  We formed Smugglers to buy "Larry Dudley Yacht Sales" which was a small yacht brokerage in Ventura, CA in 2006.   As you can see in the picture- "Yacht" is somewhat glamorous in relation to most of the boats we had to sell- I think of it as a Used Boat Lot.   We ran the boat sales operation until 2015 when we sold that to a couple of the employees. 

  And that was when we rebranded as SCY and started retail sales.   We had started working with a number of companies in 2008 handling their wholesale business with Amazon & Wal-Mart.com.  Amazon asked us to warehouse and sell them a number of brands that they were having a hard time getting.  They had us bring in a ton of merchandise....and then they forgot to order anything for 5 month's.  After a little while, we started the SCY website, and began to sell the merchandise.  Air guns, Kayak Paddles & Accessories, Holsters, Ragim Archery, and a bunch more. 

  We'll get this new site squared away, make it easier to shop- and hopefully bring in some merchandise that you'll like.
